We have our final bi-monthly swimming day of the year at the JBS Centre tomorrow from 2-3 pm. Please ensure students that want to participate bring their swimsuit and towels. For those students that do not want to go swimming, it will be a perfect opportunity to catch up on work and have extra time with teachers!

We appreciate the overwhelming interest in our summer school program and value every application. Our coordinators and administrative team will update all applicants as soon as we can. Thanks for your patience!

All herbicide applications will be in strict accordance with all regulations established by Alberta Environment, and rates will be at Federally approved label recommendations.
Herbicide warning signs will be placed on all treated Division Property. Please stay off treated areas until signs are removed.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

For our Grade 9 Students and Parents, please see the dates that Alberta Provincial Achievement Tests will be written. Attendance on these dates is important!
DIPLOMA EXAMS - please note that we only offer sittings for our in-person students and existing distance education students. We are not an open exam centre for students of other schools/divisions due to limited space. If you have any questions or need clarification on whether you are registered to write your diploma exam at Sunrise, please contact Chelsea in the office at (403) 793-2025.

We are excited to announce that, thanks to the support of President’s Choice Children’s Charity, all students have had daily access to healthy food through our Power Full Kids | Eat Well program this year.
This grant supports:
A daily breakfast program for all students.
Healthy in-class snacks (fruit/vegetable/granola).
Nutritious snacks for school field trips.
Throughout the year students have participated in Mealtime Moments—educational activities and discussions about healthy eating.
Thanks to the support of President’s Choice Children’s Charity, we are so happy to provide these essential resources to the students of Sunrise School!

Have fun!

To all of our distance education students; please note that the deadline for your course work to be completed is Friday, June 5th. These courses will NOT be extended into Summer School or into our September term. We ask that you ensure you are dedicating time to completing these courses and turning in assignments for marking as soon as they are completed.

Sunrise Summer School Applications are now open. Please note that all expressions of interest must be submitted DIGITALLY by scanning the attached QR code or visiting our Summer School tab and clicking on the link. You cannot apply in person at Sunrise School. The complete list of offered courses is attached and spaces may be limited. In coming weeks our Summer School team will review applications and contact interested students. APPLYING FOR SUMMER SCHOOL DOES NOT GUARANTEE ACCEPTANCE.
Thank you!
