Grasslands Weather Update #2 - Rural Buses Cancelled and Emergency Billet Protocol
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As predicted the weather has dramatically changed. If your child is still at school they are safe and being cared for by our staff.
Please read the following information carefully.
Bussing
All Rural Buses have been cancelled for this afternoon.
City of Brooks buses will still be running within the city limits only.
Our Walking School Bus in the City of Brooks has been cancelled for this afternoon.
Emergency Billeting Protocol
For rural students who cannot be picked up, Grasslands will be activating our Emergency Billet Protocol.
Your child will be safe staying with the emergency billet you identified on the registration form and/or the emergency billet form.
Please reach out to your identified emergency billet contact as soon as possible to let them know you will be needing their assistance at the end of the school day. The school will only release your child to the identified emergency billet contact. If someone else is picking up your child, we ask that you call the school with the appropriate contact information.
School staff will remain on site for a period of time after the close of the day to supervise students who cannot be picked up at the last bell and to help support families with their emergency arrangements.
